NFC (Near Field Communication) is the same technology as contactless payment. Any recent iPhone (XS and later) or Android phone reads an NFC chip automatically: the customer holds the phone near the sign, a notification appears, and one tap opens your link. It is faster than a QR code because there is no camera to open.

Sizes
Freestanding signs are 74×112mm or 115×168mm with a removable push-fit base; XL freestanding signs are 164×245mm; A5 and A4 signs are 148×210mm and 210×297mm, portrait or landscape, with an optional stand. All are for indoor use.
Does the chip come with the sign?
Yes. The NFC chip is included with every sign in this collection. We program it to the URL you give us at checkout and fix it to the reverse of the oak panel, so the sign arrives ready to use.
Can I change the link later?
Yes. Unlike an engraved QR code, the chip can be rewritten: download a free NFC programming app (several are available for iPhone and Android), hold your phone to the sign and write the new link. If you would rather not do that, point the chip at a Linktree-style page you can update instead.
NFC or QR code?
NFC is faster — one tap, no camera — and suits a till point or reception desk. A QR code works on every phone with a camera, including older ones, so it is the safer choice for a mixed audience. Personalisation
Upload your logo with the logo upload button on each product page — black-and-white artwork engraves most clearly. Add the link for the chip in the personalisation box; any link works, including a Google review link, Instagram profile, WhatsApp link, booking page or Linktree.

Which phones work with NFC signs?
iPhone XS and later read NFC from the lock screen without an app. Android phones with NFC switched on do the same. Phones without NFC can still use a QR code, which is why the combined sign exists.
Do I need to programme the chip myself?
No. We programme it to your link before dispatch and the sign arrives ready to use.
Can I rewrite the chip to a new link?
Yes, with a free NFC programming app on your own phone. The engraved wording on the sign stays the same, so keep the wording general if you expect the link to change.
Where should the sign go?
Where the customer is already standing still with a phone in hand: beside the card reader, on the reception desk or at the host station. NFC range is a few centimetres, so a sign on a far wall will not be tapped.
Is there a minimum order?
