Corporate Christmas Bauble Gifting: A Planning Guide for Business

Corporate Christmas bauble orders have a habit of arriving later than planned, in the wrong quantity, or with a logo that doesn't engrave cleanly. This guide covers the planning decisions to make before you order — timing, quantity, material and artwork — so the actual order takes five minutes once you're ready.

Why wooden baubles work as a corporate gift

Most corporate Christmas gifts are forgettable. Baubles are different because they come back out every December. A client who received a branded bauble from you three years ago will hang it on their tree again this year — and think of you when they do. That kind of quiet, repeated brand impression is hard to buy with any other gift at this price point.

When to start planning

For orders under 100 units, ordering by early December is usually safe — but that's cutting it close if your logo needs converting first. For larger runs of 100+ units, start in mid-November so there's time for artwork back-and-forth and production. If you're ordering for a multi-site company or need staged delivery to different offices, add two extra weeks on top of that. Current dispatch times are always shown at checkout, and they tighten as December progresses — check before you commit to a date with your own team or clients.

Choosing your quantity: staff, clients, or both

Most businesses order in one of three patterns: a bauble for every employee (desk drop or team gift), a bauble for top clients only (a smaller, higher-touch list), or both from the same design with different personalisation. If you're doing both, it's usually cheaper to combine them into a single bulk order and personalise individual names in the checkout box, rather than placing two separate smaller orders — bulk discounts are based on total quantity, not per design.

Which bauble design fits your gifting style

The branded baubles collection covers a few different formats — birch or oak, round or star-shaped, standard or large logo engraving. If brand visibility is the priority, the large-logo version makes your mark the focal point. If you want something a little more distinctive on a crowded desk of corporate swag, the star-cut design stands out. For the most cost-effective option on a big team order, the birch version doubles as a coaster and is usually the lower-cost material.

Oak or bamboo?

Standard baubles are 4mm oak veneered MDF. We also produce baubles in FSC-certified Moso bamboo (certificate RINA-COC-001256) for companies that want a verified sustainability credential to reference in CSR reporting — useful if your gifting decision needs to tie back to an environmental policy. Bamboo costs a little more but engraves just as cleanly.

Preparing your logo

PNG or JPG both work, but black and white artwork produces the crispest engraving — fine detail and thin lines can get lost in a busy colour logo once it's converted to a single-colour engraving. If your logo has a lot of fine text or a complex crest, it's worth simplifying it first rather than relying on the conversion to fix it. Vector files (AI, EPS, SVG, PDF) give the sharpest result if your design team can export one.

Budget planning

Bulk discounts are applied automatically at checkout — no code needed — based on total quantity ordered:

  • 20+ units: 10% off
  • 50+ units: 15% off
  • 100+ units: 20% off
  • 250+ units: 25% off
  • 500+ units: 30% off
  • 1,000+ units: 35% off

Because the discount is based on total units, it's worth checking whether combining a staff order and a client order into one purchase pushes you into a better tier, even if you personalise each one differently at checkout.

Frequently asked questions

Can I order a mix of personalised names on a bulk order?
Yes — add all the different names or messages in the personalisation box at checkout, one per line. We engrave each one individually.

Do you supply a proof before engraving?
We only send proofs if you request one in the personalisation box, or if we have a query about your artwork. For standard orders, we go straight to engraving.

Do you issue invoices or accept purchase order numbers?
Yes — we issue a VAT invoice on dispatch, and can add a PO number if you include it in the personalisation box or checkout notes.

What if I only need a handful, not a bulk order?
There's no minimum order — buy a single bauble at full price if you just need a sample or a small run under 20 units.
