Sizes and single or double-sided

Most table signs come in Standard (74×112mm) and Large (115×168mm); XL formats are 164×235mm, 164×245mm and 225×164mm landscape. Standard suits café tables and till points, Large carries across a busy bar or reception, XL is readable from the door. Single-sided suits a sign against a wall or in a corner; double-sided engraves the same content on both faces so an open table, counter or bar reads from either side.

Materials

Table signs are laser-engraved on FSC-certified 4mm oak veneered MDF with a push-fit removable oak base — the engraving is cut into the wood, so it will not fade, peel or rub off. Selected A4 and A5 signs are available in FSC-certified Moso bamboo (certificate RINA-COC-001256). All table signs are for indoor use. Orders are dispatched without plastic packaging.

Personalisation

Every applicable product has a logo upload button and a personalisation box. PNG or JPG logos work best; black and white artwork gives the sharpest result and colour files usually convert. Ordering several signs with different wording? List each one in the personalisation box and we engrave them individually. Our templated design service is free.

Frequently asked questions

Which size table sign should I choose?
Standard (74×112mm) suits most café tables and till points. Large (115×168mm) carries across a busy bar or reception desk. The XL formats (164×235mm, 164×245mm or 225×164mm landscape) are readable from across a room — reception desks, market stalls and holiday-let welcome tables.

Is single or double-sided better?
Single-sided is enough where the sign sits against a wall or in a corner. Double-sided engraves the same content on both faces, so a sign in the middle of a table, counter or bar reads from either direction.

Can I order different wording on each sign?
Yes. List every variation in the personalisation box — table numbers one per line, or each message with the quantity you need — and each sign is engraved individually. Bulk discounts apply to the total quantity in your basket.

Does the base come off?
Yes. The push-fit oak base is removable, so the sign lifts out for wiping down, stacking and storing between services, and ships flat.

Do table signs need a no smoking sign as well?
A no smoking sign is a legal requirement in enclosed public premises under the Health Act 2006; one legible sign that staff and customers can see satisfies it in an ordinary café or pub. The guide linked above covers what is required and what is optional.

Can a table sign carry a QR code?
Yes — the QR code signs in this collection are engraved with the code pointing at your Google review link, menu, WiFi details or social media page. Paste the exact link in the personalisation box when ordering, or test it first with our free QR code generator.
