About Cherry Grove Craft – Handmade Wooden Signs, Name Badges & Gifts

Cherry Grove Craft makes personalised wooden signs, name badges and business products — laser engraved from oak veneered MDF and FSC-certified bamboo in our workshop in North Wales. Everything is made to order. We supply cafés, hotels, schools, charities and small businesses across the UK, and ship internationally to the USA, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and Switzerland.

Our Story

Cherry Grove Craft was founded by Pete, who has over 30 years of experience in design and print. What started as a home workshop has grown into a trusted supplier of personalised wooden products for businesses and individuals across the UK. We're based near Chester in North Wales — small enough to care about every order, experienced enough to handle large and complex ones.

Materials and Making

We use two primary materials: oak veneered MDF and Moso bamboo. Our oak veneered MDF is sourced from Laserply, a UK-based supplier. Our bamboo is FSC Chain of Custody certified — certificate RINA-COC-001256, issued by RINA Services S.p.A., valid to August 2026 — sourced from a verified supplier in Guangdong, China.

Both materials are laser engraved rather than printed, which means no inks, no chemicals and text that won't fade or peel. All packaging is plastic-free — cardboard and paper throughout, jute string on hanging products.

The People Behind It

Pete leads on product design, production and innovation. With over 30 years in design and print, he designs and makes every product himself in the North Wales workshop — from single custom orders to bulk supply contracts for hotels and school groups.

Suzy keeps Pete honest. She contributes to marketing direction, new product ideas and is the first to tell him when something isn't quite right — an invaluable sounding board for a business that could otherwise disappear into its own workshop.
