Ordering & Production

How long does it take to make my order?

All items are made to order in our North Wales workshop. Your estimated dispatch date is shown at checkout before you place your order — it reflects our current production queue so it will vary depending on how busy we are. If you need your order by a specific date, check the dispatch time before ordering and contact us if you need to confirm it's achievable.

Can I request a faster turnaround?

Yes. If you have a firm deadline, contact us before ordering and we'll let you know if we can accommodate it. We can't always guarantee a faster turnaround but we'll always tell you honestly whether it's possible.

Can I change or cancel my order after placing it?

We start work on orders as quickly as possible, so changes usually aren't possible once an order has been placed. If you've just ordered and need to make a change, contact us immediately with your order number and we'll do our best to help — but we can't guarantee it will be possible. Please double-check all personalisation details before checkout.

Can you make bespoke or custom sizes?

Yes, in most cases. Bespoke sizes take additional time and the price will reflect that. Get in touch with details of what you need — dimensions, quantity, what it's for — and we'll come back to you with a quote before you commit.

Are your products handmade?

All our products are made to order in our own workshop in North Wales. Every item is laser-engraved in-house — we don't outsource production or resell. The laser engraving process is precise and consistent, and each order is checked before dispatch.

Can I order a sample before placing a large order?

Yes — order a single unit at the standard single-unit price to check the quality before committing to a larger quantity. We don't have a formal samples programme, but this is the best way to see the product in person before ordering in volume.

Delivery & Tracking

How is my order shipped?

We use Royal Mail for all deliveries:

  • UK: Royal Mail Tracked 24 (next working day aim once dispatched)
  • UK upgrade: Special Delivery (guaranteed next working day once dispatched)
  • International: Royal Mail International Tracked

You'll receive a tracking number by email once your order has been dispatched.

How do I track my order?

You'll receive a tracking number by email as soon as your order is dispatched. Use it at the Royal Mail website to follow your delivery. If you haven't received a tracking email, check your spam folder first, then contact us with your order number.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes — we ship worldwide. All international orders are sent via Royal Mail International Tracked. Typical delivery times: Europe 3–7 working days, USA & Canada 7–14 working days, Australia & New Zealand 7–14 working days. When will my order arrive?

Delivery time is your dispatch date plus the shipping time. The most accurate combined estimate is shown at checkout. As a rough guide: UK orders typically arrive within 1–2 working days of dispatch. International orders vary by country — see our international shipping page for country-by-country estimates.

Personalisation & Logos

How do I personalise my order?

Enter your personalisation details — name, text, message, room number, or whatever is required — in the personalisation box on the product page before adding to basket. Each product page explains exactly what information is needed. For logo products, use the logo upload button on the product page.

How do I send my logo?

Use the logo upload button on the product page. PNG or JPG files work best. Black and white artwork gives the crispest engraving result, though colour logos usually convert well — we'll let you know if any adjustments are needed. If you have trouble uploading, email the file to us after ordering and include your order number.

Can I add my company logo to products?

Yes. Most of our business products have a logo upload button on the product page. The logo is laser-engraved, not printed, so it won't fade or peel. Black and white artwork gives the sharpest result, but colour logos are usually convertible. We'll get in touch if we need to make any adjustments before engraving.

What file formats do you accept for logos?

Will I receive a proof before you make my order?

Proofs are not sent as standard — we get started on orders quickly to keep dispatch times as fast as possible. If you'd like a proof, request one in the personalisation box when you order and we'll send one for your approval before engraving. We'll also get in touch proactively if we're ever unsure about the design.

Can I add different names to each item in a bulk order?

Yes. List each name — and any other per-item details such as job title or room number — in the personalisation box at checkout, one per line. For orders of 10 or more name badges, you can also upload a spreadsheet of names using the Names Spreadsheet upload button on badge product pages. Download the template here.

How do I choose the right wooden name badge?

Can I have different designs or wording across items in the same order?

Yes for some products — for example door hangers that come as a pair with two different messages. For most products, each variant within an order carries the same personalisation. For mixed requirements across a larger order, get in touch before ordering and we'll advise on the best approach.

Do you create QR codes?

Yes — we generate the QR code for you. Simply provide the URL you want it to link to in the personalisation box when ordering. For Google review QR codes, you'll need your specific Google review link: search for your business on Google, click "Get more reviews" on your business profile, and copy that link. A wrong URL means the QR code won't work, so please double-check it before ordering.

How do I reorder a personalised product?

Add the product to your basket again and enter the same personalisation details as your original order. If you need help matching a previous order exactly, contact us with your original order number and we'll assist.

Materials & Care

What materials do you use?

We use three main materials:

  • 4mm oak veneered MDF — real oak veneer on an MDF core. Consistent engraving, suitable for indoor use.
  • FSC-certified Moso bamboo — Chain of Custody certified (certificate RINA-COC-001256). Natural grain variation, slightly more moisture resistant than oak MDF.
  • Birch plywood — used for selected products where thicker or structural material is needed.

All materials are laser-engraved rather than printed, so designs won't fade or peel.

What is the difference between bamboo and oak veneered MDF?

Oak veneered MDF engraves with consistent dark contrast — clean and uniform across the whole piece, predictable for large batches. Bamboo shows natural grain variation — lighter and darker depending on the fibre density — giving each piece a slightly different, handmade quality. Bamboo is FSC-certified and slightly more moisture resistant. Oak is more economical and more predictable for uniform batches. Neither is better; they suit different aesthetics and uses.

Are your bamboo products genuinely FSC-certified?

Yes. Our bamboo products are made from Moso bamboo with FSC Chain of Custody certification, certificate number RINA-COC-001256. We can provide documentation on request for procurement or CSR reporting purposes.

Can your products be used outdoors?

Most products are not designed for outdoor use. Prolonged exposure to moisture, rain or direct sunlight will damage the wood. Unless a product listing specifically states it is suitable for outdoor use, treat it as indoor only.

How do I clean a wooden sign or name badge?

Wipe with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid soaking the wood or using chemical cleaners. The laser engraving is permanent and won't be affected by normal wiping.

Do you offer bulk discounts?

Yes — discounts apply automatically at checkout, no discount code needed:

Do you supply businesses?

Yes — a significant part of our work is supplying businesses. We make branded name badges, promotional keyrings, QR code signs, table signs, door hangers, hotel room signs, coasters with logos, and more. We work with hotels, hospitality venues, schools, charities, franchises and corporate clients regularly. Bulk discounts apply automatically from 20 units.

Can I order for multiple sites or locations?

Yes. We regularly supply businesses with multiple locations — hotel groups, academy trusts, franchise businesses and similar. For large or complex multi-site orders, get in touch before ordering and we can discuss the best approach.

Do you offer trade or wholesale pricing?

We supply businesses, hotels, schools and organisations regularly and are happy to discuss ongoing supply arrangements. Get in touch with details of what you need and we'll have a conversation about what works for both sides.

Do you offer ongoing supply agreements or repeat orders?

Yes. We work with businesses, hotel groups, academy trusts and franchise operators on ongoing supply. Reordering is straightforward through the website, or contact us and we'll handle it. For regular large orders, get in touch to discuss terms.

Do you make hotel signs and hospitality supplies?

Yes — we have a dedicated range for hotels, guest houses, B&Bs and holiday lets. This includes Do Not Disturb and Please Clean door hangers in oak and bamboo, room key tags, QR code signs for menus and reviews, table signs, WiFi signs, and no smoking signs. Do you make wooden name badges?

Yes — custom laser-engraved name badges in oak and bamboo, in several formats: standard single-sided, double-sided, reusable blackboard, and QR code badges with eco lanyards. Do you make school signs, badges and leavers gifts?

Yes. We supply schools with signs, name badges, lanyards, rosettes, medals, trophies and school leavers keyrings. Products can include the school name, logo or crest. We work with primary and secondary schools and supply academy trusts across the UK. See our education range.

Can I get a wooden sign with a QR code?

Yes — we make wooden QR code signs for Google reviews, TripAdvisor, Trustpilot, menus, WiFi, social media and more. We generate the QR code for you — just provide the URL when ordering. How do I set up a QR code sign — how do I get my review link, menu URL, or WiFi code?

Do you make Christmas decorations for businesses?

Yes — we make branded wooden Christmas baubles in oak veneer in plain round and star cutout designs, engraveable with your company logo and message. Available in bulk packs from a single unit. Can you add logos or extra text to your products?

Yes — most of our products support logo engraving, custom text, or both. Use the logo upload button for logo files and the personalisation box for text. The engraving is permanent and precise. If you're unsure whether a specific product supports logo engraving, check the product page or contact us.

Returns & Issues

Can I return a personalised item?

As all items are made to order with personalised content, we can only accept returns where there is a fault or error on our part — for example if we've made a mistake with the engraving or the item has arrived damaged. If the personalisation details you provided were incorrect, we're unable to accept a return for that reason. Please double-check all details before placing your order.

What if my order arrives damaged or incorrect?

Please contact us as soon as possible with your order number and a photo of the issue. We'll resolve it quickly — either by remaking the item or arranging a refund, depending on the situation.
