Accessibility signage is often an afterthought — a laminated sheet or a generic plastic sign that matches nothing else in the space. These signs are laser-engraved into oak veneered MDF, so they sit alongside the rest of your wooden signage in a reception, entrance or customer area without looking bolted on. The engraving cannot fade or peel, and the face wipes clean.

Placement
Hearing loop signs work at counter height facing the customer — tills, reception desks and information points — so that a hearing-aid user knows to switch to the T setting before the conversation starts. Toilet and WC signs go at eye level on or beside the door, on the outside, away from damp. For counters, the freestanding format on a removable base can be moved without fixings.
Materials
Signs are FSC-certified 4mm oak veneered MDF; hearing loop blocks are 20mm solid oak, which is not FSC-certified and is described as solid oak only. Bamboo keyrings are FSC-certified Moso bamboo (certificate BV-COC-190523). Hanging signs are wood and jute twine, freestanding signs are wood only, and keyrings are wood and a metal split ring — no plastic or acrylic. Orders are dispatched without plastic packaging. Every sign is for indoor use.
Accessibility signs and procurement evidence
Hearing loop and accessible-facility signage is the kind of reasonable adjustment the Equality Act 2010 expects a service provider to consider, and for venues working towards Green Key, Green Tourism or GSTC certification the same purchase can go in the procurement file: an FSC-certified material claim and plastic-free packaging are specific, checkable facts. Our guide to what counts as procurement evidence sets out the criteria and what to file.
Personalisation
Standard wording and symbols are shown in the product photos; add alternative wording in the personalisation box on the product page. Products with a logo upload button take a PNG or JPG logo, colour or black and white, we will convert it. Proofs are not supplied as standard; request one in the personalisation box if needed.

Frequently asked questions
What is a hearing loop sign for?
It tells customers who use a hearing aid that an induction loop is available at that point — typically a till or reception desk — so they know to switch their hearing aid to the T setting.
Can I request a sign that is not listed?
Yes — describe it in the personalisation box on the nearest product and we will confirm whether we can make it.
Is there a minimum order?
No — order a single sign at full price. Bulk discounts apply automatically from 20 units of the same product.
Are these signs suitable for a care home?
For general room and toilet identification, yes. For wayfinding inside a dementia unit, signage should be DSDC accredited — ours is not, and our care home guide explains why that distinction matters.
Can an accessibility sign count towards a Green Key or Green Tourism audit?
The sign itself is an accessibility measure; its material and packaging are the procurement facts. File the invoice and the product page specification — FSC-certified oak veneered MDF, no plastic content, paper-only packaging — as described in our procurement evidence guide.
