Free Backlink Analyser
This free backlink analyser sorts the sites linking to yours into editorial links, directories and citations, platforms, and likely spam. Paste a referring-domains export from Ahrefs, Semrush or Google Search Console, or a plain list of domains, and you get a breakdown, a profile health score and plain-English notes. It runs in your browser: no account, no API key, nothing stored.
It was built by Pete, who runs Cherry Grove Craft, a one-person laser engraving workshop in North Wales, after finding that the paid tools that show a full link profile start at around $130 a month (October 2026). Why he built it →
Ahrefs paid plans: Site Explorer → Backlink profile → Referring domains → Export. Paste the full CSV below. Ahrefs Free has no export: copy the domain column and use Plain list.

Questions about this tool
Is my backlink data safe?
Yes. Everything runs in your browser. Your CSV or domain list is never sent to us or stored anywhere, and it is gone when you close the tab.
Which export formats does it support?
An Ahrefs referring-domains CSV, a Semrush Backlink Analytics referring-domains export, a Google Search Console Links export (Latest links or More sample links), or a plain list with one domain per line from anywhere else.
Can I use it with a free Ahrefs or Semrush account?
Partly. Ahrefs Free shows up to 1,000 referring domains for a site you have verified but has no export, so copy the domain column into a spreadsheet and paste it here in Plain list mode. A free Semrush account shows 10 results per report. Google Search Console is the most complete free source: its Links export gives up to 100,000 linking pages. Step-by-step guides: Ahrefs, Semrush and Search Console.
How does it classify a domain as spam?
It checks each domain against known low-quality domain endings, common SEO-spam keyword signals, and known directory and platform patterns. It is a rule of thumb, not a verdict, so check anything flagged before you act on it.
Is this a replacement for Ahrefs or Semrush?
No. Those tools crawl the web to discover your links in the first place. This tool only classifies a list you already have: a free companion for a business that can’t justify a paid plan, not a substitute for the underlying data.
Is this tool free?
Yes. No account, no API key, nothing stored. Read the story of why it was built.
