Laser Engraving & Cutting Training and Consultancy
Cherry Grove Craft runs a 2-hour laser engraving and cutting training session, either in person at our workshop near Chester in North Wales or by video call on Microsoft Teams or WhatsApp. It covers CO2 lasers and LightBurn software: machine setup, maintenance and safety, software and file preparation, and materials and settings.
What the training session covers

The session is run by Pete, who uses two OMTech CO2 lasers, both sold to him as 80W, for production every working day. It is shaped around what you need, so tell us about your machine and what you want to focus on when you book.
In person or by video call
- In person: at our workshop in Buckley, North Wales, a short drive from Chester, Mold and Deeside.
- Video call: Microsoft Teams or WhatsApp, with the same duration and content. It helps to have your own machine set up so Pete can see it.
In-person and video call sessions are the same price.
Who it suits
The session suits people who have just bought a CO2 laser and want to get up to speed, people planning to start a laser engraving business, and existing operators who want help with a specific area. Our experience is with CO2 lasers, so if you have a different type of machine, tell us when you book and we will confirm whether the session suits it.
How to book
Book through the training session page, which shows the current price and what is included. In the personalisation box, add your preferred dates, whether you want in person or video call, and your machine and software; Pete will then confirm a time. If you have a question first, contact us.
E-commerce and marketing consultancy
Separately from laser training, Pete offers e-commerce and marketing consultancy for small product businesses, covering setting up and marketing Shopify, Etsy, eBay and Amazon shops. It is charged at £80 per hour plus VAT. Details are on our e-commerce and marketing consultancy page.
