Personalised medical and wellness room nameplates laser-engraved on FSC-certified 4mm oak veneered MDF, in four sizes from 200mm to 580mm wide. For GP surgeries, dental practices, physiotherapy and chiropractic clinics, podiatry and acupuncture rooms, salon treatment rooms and care homes — anywhere a door or wall needs a professional room identifier. Engrave a practitioner name, resident name, room number or department. The sign is wood only, with no plastic or acrylic, and orders are dispatched without plastic packaging. Made to order in our workshop in North Wales.

Frequently asked questions

Can I add a logo or organisation name?

An organisation name is engraved as text — type it in the personalisation box with the room name. For a logo, add a note in the box and we'll ask for the artwork after you order. Your logo can be colour or black and white — we will convert colour logos for engraving.

Can these be used as resident room nameplates in a care home?

Yes — each plate is engraved individually, so a full resident list can be ordered in one go with bulk discounts from 20 units of the same product. Our guide to signage in care homes covers where wood is and isn't suitable in a care setting.

Why oak rather than an acrylic or plastic nameplate?

The oak veneered MDF is FSC-certified and the sign contains no plastic, which matters for practices reporting on procurement or sustainability. Engraved lettering also doesn't peel or fade the way printed vinyl can. See why wooden signs are an alternative to plastic.

Packaging

We keep our packaging simple with a rustic feel and, more importantly, kinder to the environment. All packaging is paper-based, including the tape used to seal parcels, and is sourced from responsibly managed forests.

Materials & Care

Our products are made from natural materials, including:

• Oak veneered MDF – ideal for indoor use, not suitable for damp or outdoor environments

• Bamboo – more water resistant and suitable for items like name badges, but lightweight and not recommended for outdoor signage in windy conditions

To ensure longevity, we recommend keeping all items dry and avoiding prolonged exposure to moisture.
