Frequently asked questions

Does the NFC chip arrive ready to use?
Yes — we program the chip to the URL you provide at checkout and fix it to the reverse of the sign. Place the sign and customers can tap straight away.

What phones work with NFC?
iPhone XS and later, and Android phones with NFC switched on. No app is needed to read the sign — the phone shows a notification and one tap opens the link.

Can I change the URL after ordering?
Yes. Download a free NFC programming app (several are available for iPhone and Android), hold your phone to the sign and write the new link. Keep the engraved wording general if you expect the link to change.

Tap only, or tap and scan?
This sign is tap only. For a QR code as well, so every phone can use it, see the QR code and NFC Follow Us sign.

Packaging

We keep our packaging simple with a rustic feel and, more importantly, kinder to the environment. All packaging is paper-based, including the tape used to seal parcels, and is sourced from responsibly managed forests.

Returns

As each item is made to order, we can only accept returns where there is a manufacturing issue or we are at fault.

If there are any problems with your order, please contact us and we’ll resolve it quickly.

Materials & Care

Our products are made from natural materials, including:

• Oak veneered MDF – ideal for indoor use, not suitable for damp or outdoor environments

• Bamboo – more water resistant and suitable for items like name badges, but lightweight and not recommended for outdoor signage in windy conditions

To ensure longevity, we recommend keeping all items dry and avoiding prolonged exposure to moisture.

Will I see a proof?

Proofs are not provided as standard - if you need one, please request it in the personalisation box when ordering.
