Couples choosing sustainable wooden wedding favours are usually looking for three things: something guests will actually keep rather than leave on the table, something that fits a natural or organic aesthetic without looking cheap, and something they can order in bulk without the per-unit cost becoming painful. Our favours tick all three — laser-engraved oak and bamboo keepsakes that work as place settings, hold up to handling and look intentional rather than last-minute.

Eco credentials — the facts

Our bamboo favours use FSC-certified Moso bamboo (certificate RINA-COC-001256) — a third-party verified certification confirming the bamboo comes from responsibly managed sources. This is the certification that B Corp businesses, zero-waste venues and eco-conscious couples can cite in sustainability planning or on their wedding website. Bamboo is also significantly faster-growing than hardwood, making it one of the most renewable natural materials available.

Our oak veneered MDF uses recycled wood fibre — the MDF core is made from wood manufacturing residue rather than virgin timber. No plastic is used in the products themselves or in our packaging.

Favour types in this collection

Coasters — personalised with names, date and optional heart design. Available in oak veneered MDF and FSC-certified bamboo, square and round formats. Works as a place setting and a keepsake guests actually use.
Heart-shaped place settings — freestanding heart with guest name engraved. Sits on the table, doubles as a favour and a name card in one.
Keyring favours — heart-shaped or standard oak keyring with guest name and wedding date. Compact, practical and easy to post ahead of a destination wedding.
Favour discs — small round engraved discs with the couple's names and date. Simple, stackable, easy to arrange on tables or in favour bags.
Save the date coasters — bamboo coasters sent ahead of the wedding as save the dates, then doubled up as favours on the day itself.

Oak or FSC bamboo — which is more sustainable?

Both are significantly better than plastic or single-use printed alternatives. The honest answer is that FSC-certified bamboo carries the more verifiable credential — the certification number (RINA-COC-001256) is independently audited and can be cited specifically. Oak veneered MDF uses recycled wood fibre which is a genuine environmental benefit, but it doesn't carry a comparable third-party certification. If the sustainability credential matters for your wedding narrative, bamboo is the stronger choice.

On aesthetics: oak MDF engraves with consistent dark contrast — every piece in a batch of 80 looks identical, which is important when guests compare. Bamboo shows natural grain variation — each piece looks slightly different, which suits a handmade, organic aesthetic. Both arrive in plastic-free packaging.

Bulk ordering for eco-conscious weddings

Bulk discounts apply automatically at checkout — 10% from 20 units, 15% from 50, 20% from 100. For a wedding of 80 guests you'd comfortably hit the 50-unit threshold on a single favour type. List guest names in the personalisation box at checkout, one per line. For large orders or specific formatting requirements, get in touch before ordering and we'll confirm the best approach.
