A thicker, more premium take on our vertical-text bamboo door hanger — engraved onto 5mm FSC-certified Moso bamboo (certificate RINA-COC-001256) for genuine extra strength and a satisfying weight in the hand. Bold vertical lettering with a playful subline on each side gives this a more characterful, design-led look than a standard hotel hanger — well suited to boutique guesthouses, quirky B&Bs and characterful holiday lets. One side reads "Do Not Disturb – still dreaming," the other "Refresh & Renew – please zen my room." Personalise with your guesthouse name or logo. Made to order in our workshop in North Wales.

Frequently asked questions

How is this different from your standard 3mm vertical-text bamboo hanger?
This is our premium 5mm range — genuinely thicker, noticeably heavier in the hand, and more resistant to splitting under everyday handling than our original 3mm bamboo, for a small price premium. If budget is the main factor, our original 3mm vertical-text bamboo hanger remains a great, well-priced option.

Why does thickness matter for bamboo?
Bamboo is genuinely strong along its fibres but can be prone to splitting if real pressure is applied across the grain — a well-documented property of the material, not a manufacturing defect. A thicker cross-section gives a crack more material to work through before it can propagate, meaningfully improving resistance to this failure mode. Full reasoning in why we made a 5mm bamboo range.

Do you offer this in oak, or with the classic horizontal layout?

We keep our packaging simple with a rustic feel and, more importantly, kinder to the environment. All packaging is paper-based, including the tape used to seal parcels, and is sourced from responsibly managed forests.

Materials & Care

Our products are made from natural materials, including:

• Oak veneered MDF – ideal for indoor use, not suitable for damp or outdoor environments

• Bamboo – more water resistant and suitable for items like name badges, but lightweight and not recommended for outdoor signage in windy conditions

To ensure longevity, we recommend keeping all items dry and avoiding prolonged exposure to moisture.
