What does a Please Make Up My Room sign mean?
A Please Make Up My Room door hanger tells housekeeping that the guest is ready for the room to be serviced — the counterpart to a Do Not Disturb sign. Hung on the outside door handle, it removes the need for guests to call reception. Most hotels use a two-sided hanger: Do Not Disturb on one face, Please Make Up My Room or Please Clean the Room on the other.

What size is this door hanger?
89mm wide × 203mm tall, with a 51mm hole for standard round door handles.

Do you offer a thicker version?
Yes — our 5mm premium bamboo version is thicker, in a 210×89mm format that matches our Do Not Disturb hangers — useful if you want a consistent size across a full room set. This original 3mm version (89×203mm) remains a great, well-priced choice.

Why choose bamboo over oak?
Bamboo is FSC-certified and slightly more moisture-resistant than oak veneered MDF, making it a good choice for hospitality environments. The appearance is warm and consistent, with visible natural grain that varies slightly between pieces.

Packaging

All orders are packed in paper-based packaging, including the paper tape used to seal each parcel. No plastic is used.

Materials & Care

Our products are made from natural materials, including:

• Oak veneered MDF – ideal for indoor use, not suitable for damp or outdoor environments

• Bamboo – more water resistant and suitable for items like name badges, but lightweight and not recommended for outdoor signage in windy conditions

To ensure longevity, we recommend keeping all items dry and avoiding prolonged exposure to moisture.
