Frequently asked questions

Does an FSC-certified sign help with a Green Tourism or Green Key audit?
It counts as eco-labelled purchasing. FSC is an eco-label; Green Key's Chapter 13 sets a guideline that 75% of newly purchased durables carry an eco-label or come from a supplier with an environmental management system, and Green Tourism scores sustainable procurement. This sign is FSC-certified oak veneered MDF with no plastic content, shipped in paper packaging — file the order confirmation as evidence. Our guide to wooden signage as a sustainable alternative to plastic has more.

Where does the logo sit?
Above the allergy notice, scaled to the sign width. If you want it positioned differently, say so in the personalisation box and we'll lay it out to suit.

Packaging

We keep our packaging simple with a rustic feel and, more importantly, kinder to the environment. All packaging is paper-based, including the tape used to seal parcels, and is sourced from responsibly managed forests.

Returns

As each item is made to order, we can only accept returns where there is a manufacturing issue or we are at fault.

Materials & Care

Our products are made from natural materials, including:

• Oak veneered MDF – ideal for indoor use, not suitable for damp or outdoor environments

• Bamboo – more water resistant and suitable for items like name badges, but lightweight and not recommended for outdoor signage in windy conditions

To ensure longevity, we recommend keeping all items dry and avoiding prolonged exposure to moisture.

Will I see a proof?

Proofs are not provided as standard - if you need one, please request it in the personalisation box when ordering.
