A Friends Are Like Stars sign engraved with the quote “Friends are like stars — you don’t always see them, but you know they’re always there”, with your friend’s name added. It is laser-engraved on 4mm FSC-certified oak veneered MDF in four sizes from 102 × 74mm to 270 × 190mm and hangs on jute string — a keepsake for a best friend who lives far away, a birthday, or a thank-you to a friend who is always there. Frequently asked questions
Can I choose a different quote?
This sign is designed around the Friends Are Like Stars quote, with the name personalised. For a choice of ten friendship quotes or your own words, see the personalised friendship sign.
Does it suit a friend who lives far away?
Yes. The quote is about friends you don’t always see, so it suits a friend who has moved away, lives abroad or is on the other side of the country. We ship to the UK, USA, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and Switzerland.
Which size should I choose?
Small (102 × 74mm) and Medium (158 × 115mm) sit on a shelf or desk; Large (225 × 164mm) and Extra Large (270 × 190mm) are better on a wall where the quote can be read from across the room.

Materials & Care
Materials & Care
Our products are made from natural materials, including:
• Oak veneered MDF – ideal for indoor use, not suitable for damp or outdoor environments
• Bamboo – more water resistant and suitable for items like name badges, but lightweight and not recommended for outdoor signage in windy conditions
To ensure longevity, we recommend keeping all items dry and avoiding prolonged exposure to moisture.
