A personalised House Rules oak sign for Airbnbs, holiday cottages and guest houses. Standard house rules are laser-engraved on FSC-certified 4mm oak veneered MDF in A5 or A4 landscape, with or without an optional flat-pack wooden stand — so the same sign works on a hall table or fixed to a wall. Replace the standard wording with your own rules in the personalisation box. Made to order in our workshop in North Wales.

How to order

  1. Choose A5 or A4, then Yes or No for the stand
  2. Leave the personalisation box blank for standard wording, or enter your own rules
  3. Add to basket — bulk discounts apply automatically per product from 20 units

Frequently asked questions

What does the standard wording say?
The standard rules are the ones shown in the product photos — read them there before ordering. To change a line, or replace the whole list, put your wording in the personalisation box.

Can I use this sign in an Airbnb?
Yes, as a reminder of the rules in your listing, on our reading of Airbnb's policy. For stays booked from 20 November 2026, hosts may not add new rules on signs, so engrave only rules that match your listing's house rules and requests, and leave off chores such as stripping the beds and any fines. Check the standard wording against your listing too. Our guide to house rules sign ideas covers wording and the policy.

Is this sign plastic-free?
Yes — FSC-certified oak veneered MDF with a wooden stand, packed in card and paper. That makes it usable as sustainable-procurement evidence for a Green Key or Green Tourism application — see our guide to wooden signage as a sustainable alternative to plastic.

Packaging

We keep our packaging simple with a rustic feel and, more importantly, kinder to the environment. All packaging is paper-based, including the tape used to seal parcels, and is sourced from responsibly managed forests.

Returns

Materials & Care

Our products are made from natural materials, including:

• Oak veneered MDF – ideal for indoor use, not suitable for damp or outdoor environments

• Bamboo – more water resistant and suitable for items like name badges, but lightweight and not recommended for outdoor signage in windy conditions

To ensure longevity, we recommend keeping all items dry and avoiding prolonged exposure to moisture.

Will I see a proof?

Proofs are not provided as standard - if you need one, please request it in the personalisation box when ordering.
