Frequently asked questions

Can I use a different name?

Yes. Choose Custom Text and type the wording with the name you want — Dad, Grandpa, Gramps, Taid or a first name all work.

Can it go on the outside of a shed door?

No — the sign is for indoor use. Hang it inside the shed or garage, on the inside of the door or on the wall above the workbench. Large (225 × 164mm) is the easiest to read across a garage.

Which workshop sign should I choose?

This sign carries a slogan. For a name plate such as “Dave’s Workshop”, see the personalised workshop sign; for a list of workshop rules, see the My Tool Rules sign.

Returns

As each item is made to order, we can only accept returns where there is a manufacturing issue or we are at fault.

If there are any problems with your order, please contact us and we’ll resolve it quickly.

Materials & Care

Our products are made from natural materials, including:

• Oak veneered MDF – ideal for indoor use, not suitable for damp or outdoor environments

• Bamboo – more water resistant and suitable for items like name badges, but lightweight and not recommended for outdoor signage in windy conditions

To ensure longevity, we recommend keeping all items dry and avoiding prolonged exposure to moisture.

Will I see a proof?

Proofs are not provided as standard - if you need one, please request it in the personalisation box when ordering.
