A personalised wooden mixtape is a birch plywood cassette engraved with your message on the front and a QR code that opens a playlist you choose on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Amazon Music or any service with a share link. A pull-out panel inside the cassette carries a second, hidden message. It is a gift for a birthday, an anniversary or Valentine’s Day, or for anyone who remembers making mixtapes. Made to order in our workshop in North Wales.

How to order

  1. Choose or create a playlist on the streaming service the recipient uses.
  2. Open the playlist, tap Share or the three-dot menu, and copy the playlist link.
  3. Fill in the four fields on this page: Outer Cassette Message (up to 35 characters — a name, date or short message on the front), Inner Cassette Top (the name of the mixtape, up to 25 characters), Playlist link (paste the copied link — any streaming service works) and Inner Cassette Bottom (your message on the pull-out panel).
  4. Add to basket. Bulk discounts apply automatically at checkout per product: 10% from 20 units, 15% from 50, 20% from 100, 25% from 250, 30% from 500 and 35% from 1,000.

Frequently asked questions

Which streaming services work?

Any service with a shareable playlist link — Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Amazon Music, Deezer and others. The field on this page is labelled Spotify, but paste whichever link you have.

Can I change the songs after it is made?

Yes. The QR code opens the playlist link, so songs you add or remove later appear when it is scanned, as long as you keep the playlist and leave it shared. Deleting the playlist breaks the code.

Does the recipient need the same streaming app?

The code opens the playlist on the service you chose, so pick the one the recipient uses. Spotify and YouTube Music links also open in a web browser.

How do I find the playlist share link?

Open the playlist in your streaming app, tap the three-dot menu, then tap Share and copy the link. Paste it into the playlist link field on this page.

Packaging

We keep our packaging simple with a rustic feel and, more importantly, kinder to the environment. All packaging is paper-based, including the tape used to seal parcels, and is sourced from responsibly managed forests.

As each item is made to order, we can only accept returns where there is a manufacturing issue or we are at fault.

If there are any problems with your order, please contact us and we’ll resolve it quickly.

Materials & Care

Our products are made from natural materials, including:

• Oak veneered MDF – ideal for indoor use, not suitable for damp or outdoor environments

• Bamboo – more water resistant and suitable for items like name badges, but lightweight and not recommended for outdoor signage in windy conditions

To ensure longevity, we recommend keeping all items dry and avoiding prolonged exposure to moisture.
