An XL Please Do Not Use freestanding sign laser-engraved on FSC-certified 4mm oak veneered MDF — 164mm wide by 245mm tall, single or double-sided, with a push-fit wooden base. The large version for a reception desk, a museum exhibit, a lift lobby or an out-of-order machine that has to be read from across the room. Add your logo or your own wording. Sign and base are wood only, with no plastic or acrylic, and orders are dispatched without plastic packaging. Made to order in our workshop in North Wales.

Frequently asked questions

How far away can it be read?

The standard Please Do Not Use wording on the XL sign is engraved large enough to read from a few metres away — across a reception area or a gallery room. The standard sizes (74mm and 115mm wide) are for a counter or desk you are standing at.

Can I change the wording?

Yes — type it in the personalisation box: “Out of Order”, “Please Do Not Touch”, “Exhibit — Please Do Not Handle” or the name of the item. The XL has room for three or four lines.

Single or double-sided?

Double-sided where people approach from both directions — the middle of a room, a lift lobby or a buffet. Single-sided is enough against a wall or on a desk seen from one side.

Do you supply museums and holiday lets?

Packaging

All orders are packed in paper-based packaging, including the paper tape used to seal each parcel. No plastic is used.

Materials & Care

Our products are made from natural materials, including:

• Oak veneered MDF – ideal for indoor use, not suitable for damp or outdoor environments

• Bamboo – more water resistant and suitable for items like name badges, but lightweight and not recommended for outdoor signage in windy conditions

To ensure longevity, we recommend keeping all items dry and avoiding prolonged exposure to moisture.
