A Please Return Key keyring laser-engraved on FSC-certified 4mm oak veneered MDF — 90mm × 25mm with a metal split ring, in a natural untreated or Danish oil finish. The general-purpose reminder for any let where the key comes back to a host, reception or office rather than a box. For holiday cottages, Airbnbs, B&Bs, village halls and club rooms. The keyring is oak and a metal split ring, with no plastic, and orders are dispatched without plastic packaging. Made to order in our workshop in North Wales.

Frequently asked questions

Which key-return wording do I need?

Three oak keyrings, same 90 × 25mm size: Please Return Key is the general reminder for any let; Please Put Key in Box and Please Return to Keysafe name where the key goes. For a key that must never leave the building, Do Not Remove From Property is the firmer wording. Our guide to signage for holiday lets and Airbnbs covers what else guests need at the door.

Can I say where to return it?

Yes — type “to reception”, “to the office” or a phone number in the personalisation box and it is engraved with the reminder.

Untreated or Danish oil?

Untreated is the pale, natural face of the oak. Danish oil deepens the colour and brings out the grain; it is the finish in the darker photos. Both engrave the same and both carry the FSC certification.

Packaging

We keep our packaging simple with a rustic feel and, more importantly, kinder to the environment. All packaging is paper-based, including the tape used to seal parcels, and is sourced from responsibly managed forests.

As each item is made to order, we can only accept returns where there is a manufacturing issue or we are at fault.

Materials & Care

Our products are made from natural materials, including:

• Oak veneered MDF – ideal for indoor use, not suitable for damp or outdoor environments

• Bamboo – more water resistant and suitable for items like name badges, but lightweight and not recommended for outdoor signage in windy conditions

To ensure longevity, we recommend keeping all items dry and avoiding prolonged exposure to moisture.
