Three types of Do Not Disturb sign

Large-handle hangers are reversible hangers cut for the heavy lever handles found in period buildings and many commercial door sets: the 105×203mm wide hanger with a 70mm hole and the 75×185mm open-hook hanger, which slides on from the side.

Which wording?

The three standard pairings are Please Do Not Disturb / Please Clean the Room, Do Not Disturb / Refresh & Renew, and Shhh… / Please Make Up My Room. Oak or bamboo?

Both are laser-engraved, so the mark is cut into the wood and does not fade, peel or rub off the way a printed plastic sign does. FSC-certified 4mm oak veneered MDF engraves with a uniform dark contrast and suits traditional and country properties as well as modern ones; it is the lower-priced option. FSC-certified Moso bamboo (certificate RINA-COC-001256) is paler with a more even grain and suits contemporary and eco-focused properties; it is available in 3mm and a thicker 5mm premium grade. Neither is oiled or coated. Both are plastic-free, and orders are dispatched without plastic packaging.

What size do hotels use?

The classic hotel hanger is 203×89mm or 210×89mm — tall enough to read from a few steps down a corridor. The compact 89×144mm and 89×137mm formats suit narrower doors and boutique rooms. All use a 51mm hole unless you choose the wide or open-hook format. Measure the widest part of your handles before ordering for a whole property.

Adding your logo

Every hanger in the hotel range has a logo upload button — PNG or JPG, black and white artwork engraving most sharply — and the design service is free. Your property name goes in the personalisation box alongside any wording change. The result is a sign that looks considered rather than generic, and every replacement ordered later matches because it is cut from the same file.

How many to order

Bulk discounts apply automatically at checkout, with no code, and count units of the same product: 20 units 10%, 50 units 15%, 100 units 20%, 250 units 25%, 500 units 30%, 1,000 units 35%. A 20-room guest house reaches 10% off with one hanger per room; a 40-room hotel ordering one per room plus ten spares reaches 15% at 50. Discounts count units of the same product, so a mixed order of hangers and keyrings is two product lines, each with its own tier.
