Laser engraving means the messaging is cut into the surface of the wood rather than printed onto it. That makes it permanent, resistant to humidity, and legible even after years of daily use.

Bamboo door hangers

For properties with a sustainability focus, our bamboo door hangers are made from FSC-certified Moso bamboo (certificate RINA-COC-001256). Available in Do Not Disturb & Please Clean and Do Not Disturb & Refresh & Renew.

Adding your logo

Most of our hotel door hangers support logo engraving. Use the logo upload button on the product page. PNG or JPG works best — black and white artwork gives the crispest result, though colour logos usually convert well. Your property name can be engraved alongside the standard wording. If you want completely bespoke wording or layout, get in touch before ordering.

Materials: oak vs bamboo

Oak veneered MDF (4mm) engraves with consistent dark contrast — clean, uniform, predictable. It's the right choice for most properties, particularly those wanting a classic look. Bamboo engraves with more natural variation and is FSC-certified — right for eco-conscious properties or those with a natural, organic aesthetic. Neither will warp or deteriorate from normal indoor use.

Sizes and dimensions

Most of our hotel door hangers are approximately 89×144mm — the standard DIN size used across the hospitality industry and compatible with the vast majority of UK hotel door handles. The wide-slot variants are larger and designed for properties with oversized lever handles. If you need a non-standard size, contact us with your requirements.

Lead times and delivery

All door hangers are made to order in our workshop in North Wales. Your estimated dispatch date is shown at checkout. UK orders are sent via Royal Mail Tracked 24; international orders via Royal Mail International Tracked. For new hotel openings or refurbishments with a fixed date, contact us in advance and we'll confirm whether the timescale works.
