Frequently asked questions

What does Nain Gorau mean?

"Best Nain" β€” Nain is grandmother and Taid grandfather in North Wales Welsh. Mam-gu and Tad-cu are the southern equivalents; ask in the personalisation box if you'd like those.

How is this different from the Best Nain & Best Taid sign?

This listing leads on the Welsh wording and offers all four options. The Best Nain & Best Taid sign is the English-only pair in the same oak format.

Can I add a name or date?

Yes β€” add it in the personalisation box and we engrave it under the main wording.

Materials & Care

Our products are made from natural materials, including:

β€’ Oak veneered MDF – ideal for indoor use, not suitable for damp or outdoor environments

β€’ Bamboo – more water resistant and suitable for items like name badges, but lightweight and not recommended for outdoor signage in windy conditions

To ensure longevity, we recommend keeping all items dry and avoiding prolonged exposure to moisture.

Will I see a proof?

Proofs are not provided as standard - if you need one, please request it in the personalisation box when ordering.
