Frequently asked questions

Can we use this for our Green Key or Green Tourism evidence file?
Yes. FSC is an eco-label, and Green Key's Chapter 13 (Administration) purchasing criterion asks that at least 75% of newly purchased durables are eco-labelled or come from a supplier with an environmental management system; the restaurant and café criteria use the same chapter. This sign is FSC-certified oak veneered MDF, contains no plastic and ships in paper-only packaging — keep your order confirmation as the purchasing record. More in our guide to wooden signage as a sustainable alternative to plastic.

Single or double-sided — which do I need?
Single-sided for a counter or till point where customers approach from one direction. Double-sided for an island counter, a buffet or a table where the sign is read from both sides.

Packaging

We keep our packaging simple with a rustic feel and, more importantly, kinder to the environment. All packaging is paper-based, including the tape used to seal parcels, and is sourced from responsibly managed forests.

Returns

Materials & Care

Our products are made from natural materials, including:

• Oak veneered MDF – ideal for indoor use, not suitable for damp or outdoor environments

• Bamboo – more water resistant and suitable for items like name badges, but lightweight and not recommended for outdoor signage in windy conditions

To ensure longevity, we recommend keeping all items dry and avoiding prolonged exposure to moisture.

Will I see a proof?

Proofs are not provided as standard - if you need one, please request it in the personalisation box when ordering.
