Frequently asked questions

Is the lotus always included?

Yes — the lotus is part of the fixed design. If you want plain lettering without a motif, the counselling and private practice version is the same hanger without it.

Bamboo or oak?

Same size, hole and design. Oak veneer has a warmer colour and visible grain; the bamboo lotus version is paler with a fine, even grain.

Will it fit my door handle?

The 51mm hole slips over a standard round knob or the lever of most UK internal doors. For a wide bar handle or a lever you cannot slide it over, the open-hook door hanger hooks on from the side; for hotel handles with a large rose, the wide hotel door hanger has a 70mm hole.

Which In Session hanger should I order?

Counselling and private practice (plain, text only): oak or bamboo. Wellness settings with a lotus motif — yoga, massage, spa, meditation: oak lotus or bamboo lotus. For a hanger with your own practice name, see the Therapy Session in Progress door hanger. Our treatment in progress signs guide compares door hangers with wall signs.

Materials & Care

Our products are made from natural materials, including:

• Oak veneered MDF – ideal for indoor use, not suitable for damp or outdoor environments

• Bamboo – more water resistant and suitable for items like name badges, but lightweight and not recommended for outdoor signage in windy conditions

To ensure longevity, we recommend keeping all items dry and avoiding prolonged exposure to moisture.

Will I see a proof?

Proofs are not provided as standard - if you need one, please request it in the personalisation box when ordering.
