An In Session — Please Do Not Disturb door hanger laser-engraved on FSC-certified Moso bamboo (certificate BV-COC-190523), in plain lettering with no motif, 203mm tall by 89mm wide, for counsellors, psychotherapists, hypnotherapists and other private practitioners working from a shared building or a home office. The wording is fixed, so there is nothing to type: order, hang, and clients know not to knock. Hangs over the door handle through a 51mm hole — no fixings, no drilling. The hanger is bamboo only, with no plastic, and orders are dispatched without plastic packaging. Made to order in our workshop in North Wales.

Frequently asked questions

Can I add my practice name?

Not on this listing — the wording is fixed so it stays neutral for a shared building. For a hanger with your name or practice engraved, order the Therapy Session in Progress door hanger.

Bamboo or oak?

Same size, hole and wording. Bamboo is paler with a fine, even grain and carries FSC certificate BV-COC-190523; the oak version has a warmer colour and visible grain. Our bamboo vs oak comparison covers how each engraves.

Will it fit my door handle?

The 51mm hole slips over a standard round knob or the lever of most UK internal doors. For a wide bar handle or a lever you cannot slide it over, the open-hook door hanger hooks on from the side; for hotel handles with a large rose, the wide hotel door hanger has a 70mm hole.

Which In Session hanger should I order?

Counselling and private practice (plain, text only): oak or bamboo. Wellness settings with a lotus motif — yoga, massage, spa, meditation: oak lotus or bamboo lotus. For a hanger with your own practice name, see the Therapy Session in Progress door hanger. Our treatment in progress signs guide compares door hangers with wall signs.

Materials & Care

Our products are made from natural materials, including:

• Oak veneered MDF – ideal for indoor use, not suitable for damp or outdoor environments

• Bamboo – more water resistant and suitable for items like name badges, but lightweight and not recommended for outdoor signage in windy conditions

To ensure longevity, we recommend keeping all items dry and avoiding prolonged exposure to moisture.

Will I see a proof?

Proofs are not provided as standard - if you need one, please request it in the personalisation box when ordering.
