Frequently asked questions

How is this different from the In Session hangers?

The four In Session hangers carry a fixed wording with no personalisation, so they stay neutral in a shared building. This one is the personalised version: your name or practice name under the heading, and a logo if you want it. Same oak, same 203 Γ— 89mm format, same 51mm hole.

Can I change the wording?

Yes β€” β€œCounselling Session in Progress”, β€œSession in Progress β€” Please Wait” or β€œSupervision in Progress” all fit. Type the full wording you want in the personalisation box.

Will it fit my door handle?

The 51mm hole slips over a standard round knob or the lever of most UK internal doors. For a wide bar handle or a lever you cannot slide it over, the open-hook door hanger hooks on from the side; for hotel handles with a large rose, the wide hotel door hanger has a 70mm hole.

Which In Session hanger should I order?

Counselling and private practice (plain, text only): oak or bamboo. Wellness settings with a lotus motif β€” yoga, massage, spa, meditation: oak lotus or bamboo lotus. For a hanger with your own practice name, see the Therapy Session in Progress door hanger. Our treatment in progress signs guide compares door hangers with wall signs.

Returns

As each item is made to order, we can only accept returns where there is a manufacturing issue or we are at fault.

If there are any problems with your order, please contact us and we’ll resolve it quickly.

Materials & Care

Our products are made from natural materials, including:

β€’ Oak veneered MDF – ideal for indoor use, not suitable for damp or outdoor environments

β€’ Bamboo – more water resistant and suitable for items like name badges, but lightweight and not recommended for outdoor signage in windy conditions

To ensure longevity, we recommend keeping all items dry and avoiding prolonged exposure to moisture.

Will I see a proof?

Proofs are not provided as standard - if you need one, please request it in the personalisation box when ordering.
