Frequently asked questions

What can I have engraved?
Any wording: a family name and the year you moved in, a couple's names and a date, a line from a favourite poem, or a message from the giver. Type it in the personalisation box exactly as you want it to read.

Which size works best as a gift?
Medium (158×115mm) is the most popular for a mantelpiece or shelf. Large and Extra Large suit a hallway wall or a kitchen.

Is this different from your other hanging signs?
Same oak, same sizes. This listing is written for gifts and keepsakes; if you want a sign for a bar or garage, or a room or door label, those have their own listings below.

Packaging

We keep our packaging simple with a rustic feel and, more importantly, kinder to the environment. All packaging is paper-based, including the tape used to seal parcels, and is sourced from responsibly managed forests.

Production & Delivery

All items are made to order.

Your estimated dispatch and delivery date is shown at checkout, based on current production times.

Orders are typically sent using Royal Mail:

• UK: Tracked 24 (with optional Special Delivery upgrade)

• International: Royal Mail International Tracked

If you need your order by a specific date, please get in touch and we’ll do our best to help.

Returns

As each item is made to order, we can only accept returns where there is a manufacturing issue or we are at fault.

If there are any problems with your order, please contact us and we’ll resolve it quickly.

Materials & Care

Our products are made from natural materials, including:

• Oak veneered MDF – ideal for indoor use, not suitable for damp or outdoor environments

• Bamboo – more water resistant and suitable for items like name badges, but lightweight and not recommended for outdoor signage in windy conditions

To ensure longevity, we recommend keeping all items dry and avoiding prolonged exposure to moisture.

Will I see a proof?

Proofs are not provided as standard - if you need one, please request it in the personalisation box when ordering.
