A slim Please Use Other Door sign laser-engraved on FSC-certified 4mm oak veneered MDF, in four strip sizes from 102mm to 270mm wide, with a plain back for sticky pads so it sits flush on a door. For shops, offices, cafés and any venue with a door that is out of use or reserved. Standard wording reads Please Use Other Door; type your own wording in the personalisation box if you need a direction added. The sign is wood only, with no plastic or acrylic, and orders are dispatched without plastic packaging. Made to order in our workshop in North Wales.

Frequently asked questions

Will sticky pads hold it on a glass door?

Yes — the sign is light, and two good-quality sticky pads on a clean, dry surface hold it. On glass, position the pads behind the engraved text so they are hidden from the other side.

Can I add a direction?

Yes — type it in the personalisation box. A single line such as “Please Use Other Door →” suits the strip; for a two-line message with a fuller direction, order the full-size hanging version.

How is this different from the hanging Please Use Other Door sign?

Same oak, different format. This is a narrow strip with a flat back for sticky pads. The hanging sign is a taller landscape sign on jute string with room for a second line.

Packaging

We keep our packaging simple with a rustic feel and, more importantly, kinder to the environment. All packaging is paper-based, including the tape used to seal parcels, and is sourced from responsibly managed forests.

Materials & Care

Our products are made from natural materials, including:

• Oak veneered MDF – ideal for indoor use, not suitable for damp or outdoor environments

• Bamboo – more water resistant and suitable for items like name badges, but lightweight and not recommended for outdoor signage in windy conditions

To ensure longevity, we recommend keeping all items dry and avoiding prolonged exposure to moisture.
