FAQ

What does Cenedl heb iaith, cenedl heb galon mean?
"A nation without a language is a nation without a heart." Cenedl means nation, iaith language and calon heart; calon becomes galon after heb (without), a soft mutation. It is a traditional Welsh proverb about keeping the language alive.

Will it hold on my fridge?
It holds to a steel fridge door or any other steel surface. Some stainless steel and American-style fridge doors are not magnetic, so test yours with another magnet first if you are unsure.

Can I have a different Welsh saying?
Yes. The personalised oak fridge magnets come in the same three sizes and take any wording you type, Welsh accents included.

Is there a matching coaster?
Yes. The same proverb and dragon are on the Welsh proverb slate coasters and the Welsh oak coasters.

Materials & Care

Our products are made from natural materials, including:

• Oak veneered MDF – ideal for indoor use, not suitable for damp or outdoor environments

• Bamboo – more water resistant and suitable for items like name badges, but lightweight and not recommended for outdoor signage in windy conditions

To ensure longevity, we recommend keeping all items dry and avoiding prolonged exposure to moisture.
