Frequently asked questions

Do I need a specific payment provider for this to work?
No — the NFC chip opens whatever link you supply, so it works with PayPal.me, SumUp or any payment link your provider gives you.

Can I change the payment link after ordering?
Yes — rewrite the chip with a free NFC programming app on your own phone.

What if a customer's phone doesn't support NFC?
iPhone XS and later and most Android phones do. For full coverage, pair this with a QR code sign, which works with any phone camera.

Is this a card reader?
No. The sign opens a payment web page on the customer's phone; it does not take card payments itself. For signs stating which payments you accept, see the payment signs.

Can a church or charity use it for donations?
Yes — supply your donation page as the link. A gift made this way is an online donation, so it doesn't count for the Gift Aid Small Donations Scheme; collect Gift Aid declarations on the page instead. Our guide to taking donations by QR code or tap explains the rules.

Materials & Care

Our products are made from natural materials, including:

• Oak veneered MDF – ideal for indoor use, not suitable for damp or outdoor environments

• Bamboo – more water resistant and suitable for items like name badges, but lightweight and not recommended for outdoor signage in windy conditions

To ensure longevity, we recommend keeping all items dry and avoiding prolonged exposure to moisture.
