A compact Out of Order door hanger laser-engraved on FSC-certified 4mm oak veneered MDF, 89mm wide by 144mm tall. Hang it on a toilet door, a shower room, a lift or a machine the moment something fails, and take it down when it is fixed — no tape, no laminated paper. For offices, hotels, holiday lets, cafés and public buildings. Hangs over the door handle through a 51mm hole — no fixings, no drilling. The hanger is wood only, with no plastic, and orders are dispatched without plastic packaging. Made to order in our workshop in North Wales.

Frequently asked questions

Can I change the wording?

Yes — “Temporarily Closed”, “Not in Use”, “Under Maintenance” or “Cleaning in Progress” all fit. Type it in the personalisation box.

Is there a larger version with my logo?

Yes — the 203 x 89mm personalised Out of Order hanger has room for your business name or logo above the wording.

Will it fit my door handle?

The 51mm hole slips over a standard round knob or the lever of most UK internal doors. For a wide bar handle or a lever you cannot slide it over, the open-hook door hanger hooks on from the side; for hotel handles with a large rose, the wide hotel door hanger has a 70mm hole.

Returns

As each item is made to order, we can only accept returns where there is a manufacturing issue or we are at fault.

If there are any problems with your order, please contact us and we’ll resolve it quickly.

Materials & Care

Our products are made from natural materials, including:

• Oak veneered MDF – ideal for indoor use, not suitable for damp or outdoor environments

• Bamboo – more water resistant and suitable for items like name badges, but lightweight and not recommended for outdoor signage in windy conditions

To ensure longevity, we recommend keeping all items dry and avoiding prolonged exposure to moisture.

Will I see a proof?

Proofs are not provided as standard - if you need one, please request it in the personalisation box when ordering.
