Frequently asked questions

Which size should I choose?

Small (102 × 74mm) suits close-range doors such as treatment rooms and offices. Medium (158 × 115mm) and Large (225 × 164mm) suit most shop and café door panels. Extra Large (270 × 190mm) is for wide glazing or a sign that has to read from across the street.

Is there a matching Closed sign?

For a sign that reads Open on one face and Closed on the other, see the standard Open and Closed sign or the personalised Open and Closed sign, which takes your logo and business name. The Closed for Lunch sign covers a break in the day.

Can I show my opening hours as well?

Add any alternative wording in the personalisation box. If you want a sign built around your hours, the custom opening hours sign is laid out for it, with the same four sizes.

Is there a bamboo version?

Yes — the We Are Open bamboo sign is made from FSC-certified Moso bamboo in the same four sizes. It is single-sided.

Read the guide to choosing an open, closed or opening hours sign.

Materials & Care

Our products are made from natural materials, including:

• Oak veneered MDF – ideal for indoor use, not suitable for damp or outdoor environments

• Bamboo – more water resistant and suitable for items like name badges, but lightweight and not recommended for outdoor signage in windy conditions

To ensure longevity, we recommend keeping all items dry and avoiding prolonged exposure to moisture.
