A double-sided Open and Closed oak hanging sign — one face reads Open, the other Closed — laser-engraved on FSC-certified 4mm oak veneered MDF in four sizes with a jute string loop. Add your business name or logo for a branded finish, or order it as the standard sign. For shops, cafés, restaurants, salons, clinics and any venue with a door. Made to order in our workshop in North Wales.

Frequently asked questions
Which size should I choose?
Small (102 × 74mm) suits close-range doors such as treatment rooms and offices. Medium (158 × 115mm) and Large (225 × 164mm) suit most shop and café door panels. Extra Large (270 × 190mm) is for wide glazing or a sign that has to read from across the street.
How is this different from the personalised Open and Closed sign?
It is the same double-sided oak format in the same four sizes as the personalised Open and Closed sign, and both take a logo and business name — compare the listing photos for the layout you prefer. For a narrower format, see the slim oak sign.
Is there a bamboo version?
Yes. The dog friendly Open and Closed sign comes in FSC-certified bamboo in the same four sizes, and the slim bamboo sign is the plain bamboo option.

We keep our packaging simple with a rustic feel and, more importantly, kinder to the environment. All packaging is paper-based, including the tape used to seal parcels, and is sourced from responsibly managed forests.

Materials & Care
Our products are made from natural materials, including:
• Oak veneered MDF – ideal for indoor use, not suitable for damp or outdoor environments
• Bamboo – more water resistant and suitable for items like name badges, but lightweight and not recommended for outdoor signage in windy conditions
To ensure longevity, we recommend keeping all items dry and avoiding prolonged exposure to moisture.
