Which railway sign do I need?

• Custom Model Railway Station Sign — for OO, N, HO, O and G gauge layouts and display cases. Small 200×50mm is the layout favourite; the larger sizes suit a cabinet or shelf beside it.
• Personalised Railway Station Sign — the full-size nameboard for a study, games room, workshop, shed or office door. Any station name, real or invented.
• Railway Long Service & Retirement Award Sign — the same nameboard format with the recipient's name, depot or line and years of service, for railway staff presentations.

• Flat back for fixing with sticky pads or adhesive (not supplied) — no holes or string, so the face stays uninterrupted like the original enamel boards.

The three text lines

Each sign carries up to three lines: a top line (railway company, region or depot), the station name in large capitals, and a bottom line (established date, platform, years of service, or a personal message). Type them in the personalisation box in the order you want them engraved. One or two lines is fine — we centre whatever you give us.

Frequently asked questions

Which size suits a model railway?
Small (200×50mm) for most OO and N gauge layouts as a platform-side feature or backdrop board. For O and G gauge, or a display beside the layout, Medium or Large.

Can I use a real station name?
Yes — real, closed, fictional or a family in-joke all engrave the same way. We don't reproduce railway company logos or trademarks.

Are the signs painted in regional colours?
No. They are laser-engraved into oak veneer, so the lettering is dark engraving on natural oak rather than the enamel colours of the originals.

How do I fix it to a wall or door?
The back is flat: use sticky pads or an adhesive of your choice (not supplied). There are no hanging holes.

Can you make one as a retirement gift?
Yes — that is what the Long Service & Retirement Award version is for: name, depot or line, and years of service on the three lines.
