A personalised railway station sign in the style of a British station nameboard, laser-engraved with any station name and up to three lines of text — the full-size version for a study, games room, workshop, shed or office door. FSC-certified 4mm oak veneered MDF in four sizes from 200×50mm to 580×146mm. Made to order in our workshop in North Wales.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use any station name or made-up text?

Yes — real station names, fictional names and personal in-jokes all work. We don't reproduce railway company logos or trademarks.

How is this different from the model railway and award versions?

Same nameboard, same sizes. The model railway sign is the one to order for a layout or display case; the long service award sign is set up for a name, depot and years of service. This listing is the full-size room and door sign.

Is it painted in regional colours?

No — the lettering is engraved into natural oak, so it reads as dark engraving on wood rather than enamel colours.

How do I fix it to a door?

Sticky pads or an adhesive of your choice on the flat back — not supplied. There are no holes or string, so the face stays uninterrupted.

Packaging

We keep our packaging simple with a rustic feel and, more importantly, kinder to the environment. All packaging is paper-based, including the tape used to seal parcels, and is sourced from responsibly managed forests.

Materials & Care

Our products are made from natural materials, including:

• Oak veneered MDF – ideal for indoor use, not suitable for damp or outdoor environments

• Bamboo – more water resistant and suitable for items like name badges, but lightweight and not recommended for outdoor signage in windy conditions

To ensure longevity, we recommend keeping all items dry and avoiding prolonged exposure to moisture.
