A custom model railway station sign made from oak veneered MDF — styled after traditional British railway nameboards and laser engraved with whatever text you need. Three lines of personalisation: top text (railway company name or line), middle text (station name), and bottom text (established date, next train details or anything else). Four sizes from 200mm up to 580mm wide. Made to order in our workshop in North Wales.

Suitable for any scale layout and any era. Keeps the proportions of a full-size British station sign, scaled down.

How to Order

Use the personalisation box to provide your three lines of text:

Top line — e.g. "Great Western Railway", "Model Village Line", or your railway's name
Middle line — the station name, e.g. "Buckley Station"
Bottom line — e.g. "Established 1842", "Next Train To..." or any other detail

FAQ

Which size should I choose for my layout?
Depends on your scale. OO gauge (1:76) layouts typically suit the Small or Medium. O gauge (1:43) layouts suit Medium or Large. G gauge or display layouts suit Large or Extra Large. If you're unsure, tell us your scale in the personalisation box and we'll advise.

Can I have more than three lines of text?
The sign is designed for three lines. Additional lines can be accommodated on the larger sizes but text will be smaller — mention it in the personalisation box and we'll let you know what's possible before engraving.

Can I order a set of matching signs?
Yes — bulk discounts apply automatically from 20 units. For a complete station set (platform signs, running-in boards, gradient posts), get in touch before ordering and we can discuss what's achievable.

Packaging

We keep our packaging simple with a rustic feel and, more importantly, kinder to the environment. All packaging is paper-based, including the tape used to seal parcels, and is sourced from responsibly managed forests.

As each item is made to order, we can only accept returns where there is a manufacturing issue or we are at fault.

Materials & Care

Our products are made from natural materials, including:

• Oak veneered MDF – ideal for indoor use, not suitable for damp or outdoor environments

• Bamboo – more water resistant and suitable for items like name badges, but lightweight and not recommended for outdoor signage in windy conditions

To ensure longevity, we recommend keeping all items dry and avoiding prolonged exposure to moisture.
