A compact Occupied door hanger laser-engraved on FSC-certified Moso bamboo (certificate BV-COC-190523), 89mm wide by 144mm tall, for a bathroom, a shower room, a therapy room or a one-person office. Hang it when you go in; take it off when you come out. Bamboo gives a pale, even grain and a lighter look than oak. Hangs over the door handle through a 51mm hole — no fixings, no drilling. The hanger is bamboo only, with no plastic, and orders are dispatched without plastic packaging. Made to order in our workshop in North Wales.

Frequently asked questions

Occupied, or In Use / Free?

Occupied is one-sided — you hang it and remove it. The double-sided In Use / Free hanger in 5mm bamboo stays on the handle and is flipped, which suits a room that changes hands all day.

Bamboo or oak?

Bamboo is paler with a fine, even grain and carries FSC certificate BV-COC-190523. There is no oak Occupied hanger; the oak equivalent is the In Use / Free hanger.

Will it fit my door handle?

The 51mm hole slips over a standard round knob or the lever of most UK internal doors. For a wide bar handle or a lever you cannot slide it over, the open-hook door hanger hooks on from the side; for hotel handles with a large rose, the wide hotel door hanger has a 70mm hole.

Returns

Materials & Care

Our products are made from natural materials, including:

• Oak veneered MDF – ideal for indoor use, not suitable for damp or outdoor environments

• Bamboo – more water resistant and suitable for items like name badges, but lightweight and not recommended for outdoor signage in windy conditions

To ensure longevity, we recommend keeping all items dry and avoiding prolonged exposure to moisture.

Will I see a proof?

Proofs are not provided as standard - if you need one, please request it in the personalisation box when ordering.
