Can Cherry Grove Craft write the poem for a personalised poem sign?

Yes. The writing-service poem sign offers a Please write my poem option. The customer supplies the recipient's name and a few details, and the poem is written and engraved on a 190x190mm oak veneered MDF sign.

Can song lyrics be engraved on a wooden poem sign?

The text supplied by the customer is engraved for personal use. Full lyrics generally need the A4 (210x297mm) or A3 (297x420mm) sizes.

How much text fits on a personalised poem sign?

The 190mm and 198mm signs take up to four verses of four lines, roughly 130 to 160 words. The A4 signs take roughly 250 to 300 words. The A3 sign takes full multi-verse lyrics or an extended letter.

Will I see the layout before a poem sign is engraved?

A proof is sent for approval when requested in the personalisation box. Without a request, the sign is engraved as supplied.

What is the difference between the 198mm bordered poem signs?

Only the border differs. The plain sign has a clean edge, the traditional border and traditional wall plaque share a classic scroll frame, the Art Deco plaque has a geometric border, and the floral Art Deco and Art Nouveau signs have patterned edges. Size, material and text capacity are the same.

Collection: Personalised Poem Signs

Personalised poem signs laser-engraved with your own poem, wedding vows, song lyrics or message — or a poem written for you by our optional poem-writing service. Engraved, never printed, on FSC-certified 4mm oak veneered MDF in four sizes from 190mm square to A3, with plain, traditional, Art Deco and Art Nouveau borders. A lasting alternative to a card or framed print for anniversaries, weddings, milestone birthdays, retirements and memorials. Made to order in our workshop in North Wales.

Every sign in this collection is engraved to order from the text you supply, so the same product works for a four-line verse or a full set of vows. Choose by how much text you have and which border suits the room it will hang in.

How much text fits

As a guide: the 190mm and 198mm signs take up to four verses of four lines (roughly 130–160 words); the A4 signs take roughly 250–300 words; A3 takes full multi-verse lyrics or an extended letter. If your text is longer than the guide for the size you choose, say so in the personalisation box and we will confirm whether it fits at a legible size before engraving.

Materials

All poem signs are laser-engraved on FSC-certified 4mm oak veneered MDF. The text is engraved into the veneer, so it will not fade or lift the way a print does. Each sign has a hook on the reverse for wall hanging; the 190mm writing-service sign hangs on a jute string loop. For indoor use only.

Personalisation

Paste your poem into the personalisation box exactly as you want it laid out, including line breaks. Add the recipient's name, a dedication line or a date if you want one engraved beneath the verse. Proofs are available on request in the same box.

Can I engrave song lyrics?
We engrave the text you supply for your own personal use. Paste the lines you want in the personalisation box; full lyrics generally need the A4 or A3 size.
